All event categories apply to events that have been established as digital in previous years or ones that have made a transition to digital in 2020.

Best Digital Awards Event
Recognising an awards ceremony that has taken place online in 2020. The winner will be the entry that can best demonstrate how they delivered an online awards seamlessly with a high level of engagement and to the satisfaction of sponsors and participants. Growth of the event in revenue and audience size, online networking and production of values of the ceremony will be key.
Best Digital Fundraising Event
For event organisers who have set out to raise funds for charity through a digital event. Judges will be looking for all creative angles, what the initiatives and challenges were to take part, size of audience and scale of funds raised as well as how the event was broadcast and received.
Best Digital Training Series
For companies who have run a series of digital training courses for a specific audience or sector. The winner will be the company who can demonstrate the strength of content and education over a number of sessions as well as audience engagement, repeat attendees and feedback. Paid for courses will need to demonstrate their financial success. Revenue streams where applicable should be included.
Best Webinar Series
This category will recognise the team behind a webinar series that has consistently delivered outstanding results. Judges will be looking at the diversity of content, range of topics and speakers as well as audience numbers for registration and attendance. The series that can demonstrate a high engagement with returning attendees will be highly considered. Revenue streams where applicable should be included.
Best Stand Alone Webinar
Recognising a stand alone webinar that has surpassed all expectations in content and engagement delivery and audience numbers. Interactivity and feedback from attendees will be considered highly as will revenue streams if applicable.
Best Digital Conference – production budget over £5000
This category will recognise the large budget conference that has displayed excellence across a number of areas. These include variety and depth of content, array of speakers, in event engagement with attendees, sponsor deliverables and satisfaction as well as attendee feedback. Revenue streams should be noted where applicable
Best Digital Conference – production budget less than £5000
This category will recognise the small budget conference that has displayed excellence across a number of areas. These include variety and depth of content, array of speakers, in event engagement with attendees, sponsor deliverables and satisfaction as well as attendee feedback. Revenue streams should be noted where applicable
Best Digital Exhibition
This category will reward the organiser who has delivered an outstanding digital trade or consumer show. Judges will be looking for the exhibition that has delivered excellent numbers in exhibitor and audience size, in event engagement and, most importantly, results for exhibitors and sponsors. In event features will also be highly considered as will revenue performance
Best Digital Music Event or Festival
Judges will be looking for the most outstanding music event or festival that has taken place online. Key criteria will include the line up and diversity, revenue model, audience figures and engagement as well as feedback from all participants.
Best Digital Equality Event or Series
For any event that has embraced equality in whatever format, either in tis presentation or content or the aims of the event or series to champion equality. The profile and results of the events will be key
Best Digital Internal Communications Event
This is for the online event that can best demonstrate its success in delivering its story throughout its organisation and representing its members to the fullest. Scale of the event and audience participation as well as effectiveness of delivery and feedback will be considered highly
Best Digital Product Launch
Recognising a product launch that has taken place online and delivered phenomenal results. Audience size will be important as well as in event engagement and measured ROI from the launch.
Best Digital Teambuilding Event
This category is open to any organisation that has delivered an internal or external teambuilding event. In event activity and engagement will be key, as will the diversity of tasks and challenges put to participants. Judges will be looking for how the event performed against key criteria laid out at the start as well as attendee feedback.
Best Digital Participation Event
This category is for the event that has best allowed audience participation in whatever format. This includes sport, music and all types of performance. Judges will want to see the levels and types of participation as well as the aims of the event and measurement against this.
Best Live Streaming Experience
For organisers of events that are usually attended and viewed in person, this category will recognise those that have used technology to continue to stream an event live to their audience. Judges will be looking at technology and platform used, how the stream was marketed as well as audience size and response
Best Digital Event Marketing Campaign
This category is to recognise the marketing campaign that has delivered the best results. Attendance against registration will be key as will the diverse number of channels used, reach, creativity and messaging of the campaign.
Best Audience Engagement Model
The winner of this category will be the event that can demonstrate how it has gone above and beyond to deliver the best in event engagement and networking for its attendees. How the tech platform was used to deliver this and the diversity of engagement options will be key. Audience feedback should be high on your entry agenda.
Best Digital Event Revenue Model
Judges will be looking at the event that can demonstrate an array of different revenue streams from sponsors and attendees, how each element was delivered to provide satisfaction and results and the ROI for the groups involved, both on the sponsor and attendee side.
Best Sponsorship Delivery and Fulfilment Model
Judges will be looking for the event that has delivered outstanding return to its sponsors. Feedback from the sponsors will be key along with performance against targets laid out for the sponsors including data capture and lead generation
Best Technology Platform
This category is for the tech provider that has developed the best platform to deliver digital events. Judges will be looking for ease of use, different functionalities, how the tech has been developed with sponsors and networking in mind and feedback from users.
Best Venue offering Digital Event Facilities
In this category we are looking for the venue that has created the most impressive facilities for hybrid event purposes. Investment in studio and stage as well as tech will be important as will case study demonstration of effectiveness
Best Digital Event Production Company
The winner of this category will be the production team or company that has developed the most outstanding service for digital events. This will include in-house studios, streaming, technology and the ability to advise organisers on content and style of event. Participant and organiser feedback will ensure a winning entry.
